A page-by-page, line-by-line proofread in which we flag up any grammatical and spelling typos and errors.
Full formatting edit

Make a payment
Before purchasing, please check that your script isn’t over the page counts listed. When you’re ready, you’ll be transferred to a secure payment gateway to complete the purchase via credit card, debit card, ApplePay or PayPal.
Choose your preferred pro writer
At this stage, you’ll be able to pick who you would like to complete your Line Edit and let us know if you’d like a “clean” copy instead without the edits left on the page. Then, once you’ve uploaded your script (as an EDITABLE file) you’ll be good to go!
Sit back and relax
You’ll receive an email letting you know we’ve successfully received your script and are assigning it to a pro writer. (No need to email us for updates before your turnaround time is up. You’ll receive your notes within 3, 7 or 14 days depending on your chosen turnaround time.)

The main difference is that both a Rewrite and a Polish are custom-made services, executed by one of our writers to your exact brief. A Line Edit is a predetermined service that focuses solely on tightening up the dialogue and description.
To go a little deeper, a Rewrite is a more extensive service in which the reader brings their own interpretation to the material. It involves more significant changes on a broader scale. For example, to the story, characters and scenes.
A Polish, on the other hand, is kind of in-between a Rewrite and a Line Edit. Your chosen pro may tighten up the dialogue and description, as in a Line Edit, but also add their own suggestions in order to, say, “polish” a scene and make it “come alive” a bit more.
Margin Notes don’t include description and dialogue edits on the page. They only include feedback notes on the page, such as on the story, characters and scenes.

Yes, the service includes a full Proofread/Format as standard. Your chosen pro will flag up all grammatical/spelling errors/typos and formatting anomalies as they perform the Line Edit.
The standard turnaround time is 14 days. If you order a 3-Day or 7-Day Rush, however, you’ll get your script back within that timeframe.

Here’s the 2-step plan to picking the pro of your choice:
1. If you haven’t already, check out our writers’ profiles on our About Us page. There you’ll find their mini-bios and genre specialties.
2. During checkout, you’ll be asked for your first and second choice. If your first choice isn’t available your script will go to your second choice. In the unlikely event your second choice isn’t available, we’ll contact you.
